Many of our towns and cities in the Northwest have a heritage of herbal medicine, which since then has sadly over time been lost. Herbal Medicine has always been the medicine of the people and these classes aim to re-educate communities into using local plants for medicine making for personal and family health.
In these classes which run in Chorley, the aim is to provide affordable Herbal education to local communities. The class runs for two hours, one evening each month and focus on one (or two) plants each month; getting to really know them in depth and developing ways to explore their uses and how to make medicine from them. Each session will include herb tastings, identification, how to use that plant for healing and a demonstration of making a medicine. The sessions cost £20 for 2 hours. Places are limited and need to be pre-paid via paypal. No refunds or transfers to other classes are given if the classes are cancelled within 48 hours of the start of the class.
Nettles are an amazing gift to Humanity. Delicious, versatile and nutritious superfood to a powerful medicine. Nettles have a multitude of uses and in this 2-hour class we will be exploring both their medicinal and food uses. We shall be doing a guided tasting of a nettle infusion, exploring how nettle as medicine can heal and support a healthy body and working with leaf, root and seeds. I will also be demonstrating how to make a nettle tincture. The cost is £20 and includes emailed handouts and recipes. I expect this class to be popular so booking is essential. No refunds will be given if cancellations are made within 48 hours of the start of the class
