It's great to be back in Bury, bringing accessible and affordable learning about plant medicines back to local communities.
Each month I will be running a 2 hour evening class in the Barn at Phillips Park, Whitefield in Greater Manchester.

Deep in the dark of winter it's the time of root medicine. This month we are learning about two great root medicines that have a multitude of uses; Angelica and Marshmallow.
Angelica is one of the sacred herbs of the indigenous people of the north. It's also a herb of Angels. With a multitude of uses that help get us through the dark, cold months, ancestors saw this herb as even having the ability to combat the black death, it is a great chest herb as well as having many many other uses that include support for the adrenal gland and digestion.
Marshmallow is in contrast to, soft and mucilaginous, having a multiple healing uses.
We will be exploring these two herbs and how we can use them at home.
