It's great to be back in Bury, bringing accessible and affordable learning about plant medicines back to local communities.
Each month I will be running a 2 hour evening class in the Barn at Phillips Park, Whitefield in Greater Manchester.
Deep winter, and the cold, damp Northern climate chills our bones. This is the time of year when immunity is at its lowest and winter viruses make us miserable.
This class focuses on colds, flu and fevers, how to prevent them as well as treat them with medicines made from common kitchen ingredients, the grocery store and the garden.
Learn about the healing properties of ginger, horseradish, cinnamon, star anise, garlic, turmeric, onions, and many more common kitchen cupboard ingredients and how they can be made into effective medicines for coughs, colds and congested sinuses. I will be demonstrating how to make a fire cider vinegar that can easily be made at home, There will be lots of tastings and recipes. The cost is £20 and includes handouts. This class does need to be pre-booked as numbers are limited. . Refunds will not be given if the class is cancelled within 48 hours of the start of class
We aim to make these classes accessible to all and there will be a few places available at a lower cost to those who struggle financially so please message me for details.
