It's great to be back in Bury, bringing accessible and affordable learning about plant medicines back to local communities.
Each month I will be running a 2 hour evening class in the Barn at Phillips Park, Whitefield in Greater Manchester.
In late summer the land presents us with some amazing healing medicines. In later summer Yarrow and Rosebay willowherb are two herbs growing in abundance that are very versatile and and have a great range of healing properties. Yarrow is a ancient herb beloved by modern day herbalists as a great first aid and wound healing herb as well as a digestive bitter and herb for the circulation. Rosebay willow herb us a very valuable and underused herb valued in Northern Europe and Alaska for its uses with the digestive tract, as as an antiviral and in skin care. Learn about these two local herbs in a way that is indepth and interactive as we explore the herbal uses as well as having a demonstration of kapoori tea which was our national drink before we imported tea from india and china.
The cost of this herb class is £20 which includes emailed handouts. If you are on a low income message me as there are some bursaries available from Incredible Edible Prestwich
