Wise Woman - Reclaiming Menopause

Wise Woman - Wild Woman Gatherings; Harmony Hub, Chorley

Wise Woman - Wednesday 4th March and the first Wednesday of each month 7pm - 9.30pm

Hot flushes! Night Sweats! Anxiety! Mood swings!

Dont know who you are anymore!

Feeling lost in Midlife and worried its all down hill from here?

Are you searching for meaning and wondering what the hell is happening to you?

Many women are now seeing menopause as a major female rite of passage that takes us from our reproductive years to our Wise Woman years. Menopause is part of our human evolution and has a purpose. It is a time when we have the potential to step into our power and transform into a woman who is wise, sovereign, magical and connected to life.

Programme - Spring 2026

Wednesday 1st April 7pm - 9.30pm - Harmony Hub

At midlife, menstruation changes and finally stops. It can have a major impact on our lives, providing us with many challenges, such as heavy bleeding, irregular bleeding, and also that sacred last bleed, which we often are unable to honour. Other women lose their womb for various reasons, which has then taken them on a sometimes challenging and life-changing journey of early menopause.

In the post menopausal years, many of us forget about our womb or womb space, but those challenges may still be deeply felt.

In this 2 and a half hour workshop, we explore the sacredness of the womb and menstruation.

Our herbal allies are Mugwort and Ladies Mantle, and we make friends with them through guided tastings and discussion.

In this full moon workshop, there will also be a ceremony and an opportunity for you to be initiated into the 13th Munay ki rite of the womb. A sacred healing womb rite that has been passed to us by women shamans of the Andes, and that you can pass on to other women. This workshop is suitable for women who are still bleeding, have stopped bleeding or do not have a womb. This space is still sacred. It’s £22 and can be booked here. It includes emailed handouts

Wednesday 6th May - rescheduled from March

Too often, at menopause, we feel tired. feeling like we would rather watch a good film and have a nice cuppa than make love. our libido and sexuality feel like they have been put in a big box, and we can't find the key. Along with this we may struggle with intimate dryness and fatigue. I this two-hour workshop, we tackle the taboo that older women shouldn't feel sexy or be sexy. Our herbal allies are Shatavari and Sea Buckthorn oil, and other gorgeous, wise woman herbs that can help give us some va voom.
These workshops are held in a safe, supportive space, and as part of these monthly wise woman workshops, we will also make wise woman medicine bags. The cost for this is £22 and it needs to be pre-booked via paypal

At menopause we enter an ancient and sacred rite of passage

Rewilding Menopause

At midlife, we enter a time of transition that takes us from our fertile years to our Wise woman/ Elder years. This can be seen as a rite of passage.

In indigenous / Elder cultures this can be a powerful time in which we encounter challenges and struggle in order to transform. It is also a time that should be held by the community and elders.

Menopause is a rite of passage that can leave women feeling lost, confused and coping with many physical and emotional challenges. It can also a time of profound spiritual growth. In modern times its also a time when women need other women and Elder women with knowledge and support.
